All full-time UVA students are eligible to request free tickets to UVA arts events through the Arts$ Program!

Reservations can be made online or in-person and end 24 hours before an event or when the allocation of complimentary tickets is exhausted. Free UVA student tickets are not available at the door and cannot be exchanged for alternate dates. Please note that not all UVA arts events offer free UVA student tickets, and free tickets that are not picked up at least thirty minutes before an event will be released for sale to other patrons at the door.

All full-time UVA students may request free tickets to UVA Arts events. Limited to 1 ticket per event.

The UVA Arts Dollars program allows all full-time enrolled, degree-seeking UVA students—including undergraduate and graduate students in any school—to reserve FREE student tickets (one per event) for various performances around Grounds and can register for a FREE student membership to The Fralin Museum of Art & Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection.

UVA Arts Box Office

UVA student ticket reservations for Arts Dollars supported events, including most dance, drama, music and Virginia Film Festival events, can be made online and the day before an event or when the allocation of complimentary tickets is exhausted. Student tickets are not transferable, and UVA students must present their student ID at the Arts Box Office or at the venue box office to pick up their ticket. Free UVA student tickets that are not picked up at least 30 minutes before an event may be released to allow other patrons at the door the opportunity to purchase tickets. UVA students must present their tickets and student IDs at the door for admission.


The Fralin Museum of Art

You can register online to activate your student membership or stop by the Museum Tuesday-Sunday, 1-5 pm. Free admission to the Final Fridays Receptions is a benefit of your student membership. Visit The Fralin Museum of Art web site or call 434.924.3592 for more information.


Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection

Become a Black Cockatoo member of the Kluge-Ruhe Collection for free by emailing kluge-ruhe@virginia.edu with your name and email address. Free admission to Night at the Museum and other special ticketed events is a benefit of your membership, as well as exclusive opportunities to meet visiting artists and scholars on Grounds and at the museum. McIntire Department of Art

Arts Dollars are used to support the exhibitions and programs at the Art Department each year. Events occur throughout the academic year and are free to everyone! Visit the McIntire Department of Art web site or call 434.924.6123 for more information.


Department of Drama & Dance

The Department of Drama produces four to six productions each academic year featuring undergraduate and graduate students. The Dance Program of the department produces two dance concerts each academic year featuring choreography of students, faculty, and guests. McIntire Department of Music

The Music Department hosts over 100 events each year; most accept Arts Dollars. We have a concert for every musical taste, from orchestral to vocal, African to Klezmer, and large ensembles to solo recitals. For a complete listing of concerts, visit the McIntire Department of Music web site.


Virginia Film Festival
