The Miller Arts Scholars Program is an interdisciplinary collective of active artists supported by grants and a creative community that serves to embolden their art. Each year, the faculty advisory committee admits up to four scholars in each of the four disciplines: dance, drama, music, and studio art. Artists who do not strictly belong to one discipline, such as writers and filmmakers, have also been welcomed into the program. Any rising second or third-year student actively engaged in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Virginia is eligible to apply to be a J. Sanford Miller Family Arts Scholar.
