Family Day is an annual, local highlight that features film screenings, interactive arts workshops, and the red carpet premiere of films made by over 500 local students in the VAFF’s Young Filmmakers Academy.

  • 10:00 AM Free Screening of family-friendly shorts package
  • 1:00 PM Free Screening of Steamboat Willie and Disney/Pixar’s Coco
  • Free arts-inspired workshops led by UVA faculty, students, and community organizations. Pre-registration required on some workshops.
  • Musical Instrument Petting Zoo with the Charlottesville Symphony
  • Drop by the outdoor Interactive Arts Festival  for an afternoon full of crafts, performances, music, and food truck fun
  • Attend the red carpet premiere the newest films created through  VAFF’s Young Filmmakers Academy
