The annual Madison Lane and Rugby Road Charitable Trust Visual Arts Prize is intended to expand students’ opportunities for creative expression and to showcase significant accomplishments in the Arts. The prize will award one outstanding undergraduate or graduate artist $2,500.

Each student applicant will submit up to three images of one piece of finished creative work or a URL to a film/video less than 4 minutes in length and a brief description of their work. Only one submission per student will be considered. All work must have been created while in residence at UVA or attending UVA remotely in 2020 or 2021.

Eligibility
Current full-time undergraduate & graduate students are encouraged to apply. The program is open to all schools, majors & programs. All work must have been created while in residence at UVA ar attending UVA remotely in 2020 or 2021.

Eligible Media
Drawing, painting, watercolor, printmaking, film/video, photography, collage, animation, installation, digital media, & sculpture – please be mindful that how you document your work is the only experience the committee will have to view/judge it.
