Lemniscata: Exhibition Artist Talk and Open Reception

Ruffin Gallery is opening a new exhibition at the end of August, Lemniscata. The gallery will be welcoming the ceramic work of New York-based artist and researcher Sasha Fishman. The opening reception will be August 28th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with food and drink provided. Before the reception, we will be holding an artist talk from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. All are welcome to this free event.

The exhibition will include ceramic flowform vessels and fountains created by Fishman inspired by her research on biomaterials, toxicity, and aquatic systems of energy exchange. Flowform vessels move water in a rhythm that allows the water to cleanse itself, and the glazes used for the sculptures were tested over months at the European Ceramic Work Centre by Fishman herself.
