Are you in a band or ensemble? Are you a solo musician, in a duet, or trio? We want to hear from you!! Arts on the Hill is hosting a BATTLE OF THE BANDS!! We are seeking submissions from UVA Students, Faculty & Staff to perform at the third annual Carr's Hill Battle of the Bands on May 1st hosted by none other than President Jim Ryan!!
Three acts will be chosen from the submissions to perform on the front porch of Carr's Hill, and each group or soloist will receive a $500 Visa Gift Card. You will need to submit one sample of work (audio or video) via the BOX that you will be re-directed to at the end of the submission form. Additionally, you can submit a photo that will be used in promotional materials if you are selected. We will be in touch by Monday, April 22nd to let you know if you have been selected to perform.
SUBMISSIONS ARE DUE Monday, April 15th by 11:59pm.
Please, only enter if you can perform on Wednesday, May 1st from 5:00-6:30pm. There will be a sound check starting at 3:00pm.

Arts on the Hill is a recurring event on Carr's Hill featuring artists and scholars from our faculty and student body, as well as visiting artists and scholars from around the globe. President Jim Ryan hosts guests each month during the academic year for performances and discussions around the Arts at UVA with FREE drinks and snacks to boot!! Arts on the Hill is an ongoing collaboration between UVA Arts, the Office of the President, the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost & UVA Arts!

Arts on the Hill will be held in the front yard of Carr's Hill, home of President and Mrs. Ryan, on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 5:30 - 6:30 pm. Check-in begins at 5:00 p.m. All UVA faculty, staff, and students are eligible to register to attend. The deadline to register is 11:59 pm on Thursday, April 25.
