2023 Battle of the Bands: Submit Now!!

BATTLE OF THE BANDS | Chance at $500

Tuesday, April 11, 2023 • 5 - 6:30pm • Carr's Hill Front Porch & Yard

Are you in a band or ensemble? Are you a solo musician, in a duet, or trio? We want to hear from you!! Arts on the Hill is hosting a BATTLE OF THE BANDS!! We are seeking submissions from UVA Students, Faculty & Staff to perform at the second annual Carr's Hill Battle of the Bands on April 11^th, hosted by none other than President Jim Ryan!!

Three acts will be chosen from the submissions to perform on the front porch of Carr's Hill, and each will receive a $500 Visa Gift Card. Please submit one sample of work via this BOX (audio or video), and we will be in touch with the winners by March 27th!! You will be asked to include an email address and the name of the musical act, the members' names and class year (if applicable), and the name of the song submitted. 

SUBMISSIONS ARE DUE by March 20th by 11:59pm. 

*Please, only enter if you can perform on April 11^th from 5:00-6:30pm, with a sound check starting at 3:00pm.

Arts on the Hill is a recurring event on Carr's Hill featuring artists and scholars from our faculty and student body and visiting artists and scholars from around the globe. President Jim Ryan will host guests each month during the academic year for performances and discussions around the Arts at UVA!! This is an ongoing partnership between the Office of the President & the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost.
