We hope you will join City Clay for the First Friday opening reception for Friendship Formed: Celebrating Connection and Creativity!!

We hope you will join us on April 5th from 5 to 7pm, for the First Friday opening reception for “Friendship Formed: Celebrating Connection and Creativity” the show of work by Patrick Gibson, Malenka Luckett, Sarah Raffinan, and Polly Wolfe.  

City Clay is an independently-owned clay studio that offers a creative environment, equipment, classes and gallery space for professional potters, and adult students, including the University of Virginia Clay Club. The studio is located in The Silk Mills Building, an historic structure, in Charlottesville, Virginia. City Clay’s community of potters and artist share ideas, expertise, inspiration, and a lot of fun.

IN-STUDIO CLASSES

Students of all levels can take classes in wheel throwing, hand-building, sculpture, and surface design. City Clay has 16-wheel and 3 hand-building studios.

GALLERY

The City Clay gallery is a retail showcase for work by professional potters as well as that of the City Clay teachers, members, and advanced students.

WE ARE STRONGER TOGETHER

The City Clay community is a vibrant and engaged community that has held numerous fundraisers in support of the Charlottesville Chapter of the International Rescue Committee, the Sexual Assault Resource Center, and Pure Madi, a UVA initiative to address clean water supplies in developing countries.
