The Spaces We Seek

What does space mean to you?

Curated By students from the 2023–2024 University Museums Internship class: Manuela Bushamani, Cameron Cherry, Jessica Huynh, Justin Kim, Rachel McGinnis, Frances Montevilla, Ashley Prillerman, Morgan Strassner, Maya Tietz under the direction of M. Jordan Love

What does space mean to you? By opposing dominant narratives about migration and movement of people, we seek to identify the ways artists have sought to reimagine their own spaces and sense of belonging after displacement. We invite the audience to contemplate their own sense of belonging, acknowledging the spaces they keep and the spaces they seek.
