Julia Totten Distinguished Major Flute Recital
Julia Totten will perform her Distinguished Major Flute Recital on Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at 8:00pm in Old Cabell Hall. This recital will be livestreamed on the UVA Music YouTube channel. The livestream link will be available closer to the event date.
Julia will perform a program featuring pieces inspired by traditional folk music from a wide range of countries, including Japan, Azerbaijan, Romania, and Czechoslovakia. Her recital program will feature Goldfish Through Summer Rain by Anne Boyd, Six Pieces for Flute and Piano by Fikret Amirov, Madrigal Sonata by Bohuslav Martinů, Mei by Kazuo Fukushima, Sonata for Flute and Piano by Erwin Schulhoff, and Cantabile et Presto by George Enescu. Julia will be joined by Jeremy Thompson (piano), Alex Suh (piano), and Barbara Uzun (violin).

Old Cabell Hall is located on the south end of UVA's historic lawn, directly opposite the Rotunda (map). Parking is available in the Central Grounds parking garage on Emmet Street, in the C1 parking lot off McCormick Road, and in the parking lots at the UVA Corner.
