Join co-authors Ila Berman and Andrew Kudless for an engaging discussion on FLUX: Architecture in a Parametric Landscape (Applied Research + Design, 2024), a novel exploration of how computational and material innovations have transformed architectural design over the past 25 years.

Berman and Kudless will introduce the book’s eight design taxonomies—ranging from Stacked Aggregates to Multi-agent Systems—that reveal how advanced technologies have redefined form, structure, and spatial experience. Through a presentation of select built works and experimental projects, they will illustrate how these evolving design strategies transcend individual creations to form a dynamic network of architectural ideas and cultural artifacts in constant transformation.

This conversation will offer insights into how architecture operates within a larger cultural and technological landscape, pushing the boundaries of design thinking and shaping new urban and architectural models.
