General Auditions

If you are studying remotely from Charlottesville, you can submit a videotape for consideration by Friday, April 22 11:59pm.

Callbacks

  • Sunday, April 24, 12-4 pm, Drama Education Building 115C

Prepare for auditions:

  • A 1-minute comedic monologue of your choice* AND one of the “Gossips speeches” from the Audition Info Collab site.
  • Monologues do not have to be memorized but should be well-rehearsed. You can find monologues for your use (if you’d like) on the Audition Info Collab site.
  • Arrive early to sign in and complete an audition form (in the lobby).

  • Tech Rehearsal……………. Sat Oct 15, 6-10pm
  • Dress rehearsal.................. Mon Oct 17, 6-11 pm
  • Dress rehearsal.................. Tue Oct 18, 6-11 pm
  • Dress rehearsal.................. Wed Oct 19, 6-11 pm
  • Performances (6) ................ Oct 20, 21, 22 and Oct 27, 28, 29; 6:30pm call
  • Strike................................. Oct 29 following final performance

An open casting policy exists for all Drama mainstage (Culbreth, Helms, and Ruth Caplin) and Lab Series productions. All students, faculty, staff, and Charlottesville community members are encouraged to audition.
