Each day, I am humbled by the resilience and excellence exhibited by our students and faculty, who are working to make the world a better place through the power of art. Their incredible work inspired the creation of the Artistic Excellence Fund, providing direct support for a myriad of both student and faculty led arts projects that inspire, connect, and engage the next generation of leaders and artists.
With your support, we can ensure our arts faculty and students have the support they need to bring their creative ideas to life. Recent projects that have been supported through this fund include a variety of initiatives such as the President’s Speaker Series for Arts with Leslie Odom, Jr., UVA Arts Welcome Picnic for incoming first-year students, Indian Classical Music Night with student group, SPICMACAY, a Neuroscience Art Show, and the University Singers performance of Bernstein's Mass.
Your support of the Artistic Excellence Fund this giving season will ensure that UVA continues to provide a space for creativity, connection, and exploration not just on Grounds, but our larger Charlottesville community, alumni, and friends.
