'AS YOU LIKE IT' A Community-Engaged Musical

As part of the UVA Department of Drama’s production of Shaina Taub’s musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s As You Like It this spring, we are excited to announce that on Saturday, April 5th, two members of the original cast of the Public Works production of the show for the Public Theater at The Delacorte Theater in Central Park – Joel Frost and UVA alumna Brianna Cabrera – will join us for a talkback after that night’s performance!

THE BARD on THE HILL: Arts on the Hill with Shakespeare on the Lawn (SotL)

Arts on the Hill will be held at Carr's Hill, home of President and Mrs. Ryan, on Monday, February 24 from 5:30 - 6:30 pm (doors will open at 5:00 pm). All UVA faculty, staff, and students are eligible to enter the lottery. The deadline to enter the lottery is 11:59 pm on Thursday, February 20. Winners will be notified by no later than 5:00 pm on Saturday, February 22.

UVA Drama to Open 2024-2025 Season with 'Love is the Greater Labyrinth'

The UVA Department of Drama will kick off its 2024-2025 season with 'Love is the Greater Labyrinth', by the celebrated 17th-century Mexican playwright, philosopher, poet, feminist, and nun, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, translated from the Spanish by the UCLA Diversifying the Classics Project / Working Group on the Comedia in Translation and Performance.
