Heart

This drawing done digitally composes of a few contours of friends at UVA who have been a blessing in my life. While these are just a few faces, it is the lives of many like them that bring positive impact in this community and brighten it with beauty in diversity – as demonstrated in the various colors of the contours. My prayer is that with these diverse colors and faces and impacts, that we would have unity. The background color I chose to be red because it is a color that I think of when I think of the heart. I think what represents the UVA student is their heart – heart of seeking to know the truth, to love better, to be a light. I also tried to emphasize that with the white heart and a dot, with white potentially representing purity and a heart that seeks to be cleaner. Overall, may this piece be a reminder and encouragement for us to love well.
